Many new sections added, international recipes, additions to Basics. Updates to virtually every section.

November 2005

The Foody UK & Ireland receives over 1.5 million hits in a month for the first time during October!
A new section added for Vegetarians containing a good selection of over thirty recipes.
An additional twenty or so recipes added throughout the different sections, it's up to the reader to find them though!

September 2005

The Foody UK & Ireland receives over 1 million hits in a month for the first time during August!
A major update of the Farmers' Markets and Events sections to keep you up-dated.

August 2005

It's The Foody UK & Ireland's fourth Birthday!
The success of the site just continues to grow, with more hits and more visitors every month, last month it received close to a Million hits.
THe site continues to be updated on a regular basis, to ensure the information is as correct as possible.

May 2005

The Product Finder section updated with loads of new advertisers and a search facility to help you finder what you are looking for.
Events - Complete update with many new events added.

March 2005

Content up-dated:
Farmers' Markets - A new search facility has been added, so you can enter a location and discover if there is a market in that place.
I have checked with as many other websites as possible to check that the information shown is correct.
Events - Complete update with many new events added.
If any of the details are incorrect please do take a moment to let me know.

November 2004

Vegetable Basics
Herb and Spice Basics

New sections added:
Fish Basics which contains information about how to buy and prepare fish, methods of cooking and an illustrated guide to varieties of fish.
Cuts of Venison an illustrated guide.
Edible Quotes a selection of amusing and thought provoking quotes from a wide range of people.

October 2004

A major new section was added Mrs Beeton Revisited for the 21st Century it contains hundreds of dishes for you to try out!
Also many new historic recipes have been added including ones from the Regency and Victorian/Edwardian periods.
There are now more than one and a half thousand recipes on this site for you to choose from, so hopefully you can find something here to tempt your taste buds?
As ever many details have been checked and additions made to ensure that the information shown is correct.

August 2004

It's the third great year that The Foody UK & Ireland has been on-line, during which time it has received tens of millions of hits!

This months competition is to win one of three family tickets to the Abergavenny Food Festival.
There will be a new competition next month too, but you'll have to keep checking to see what the prize will be.
The Cheese Basics page has been updated, but if you know of others, why not write a short review?
The Events section of the site has been re-organised, there were so many events listed that the page was simply too long! It is now arranged month by month. If you know of any food related events in the UK or Ireland that are not listed - let me know and I will add it (it's FREE!).
As usual there have been various updates and small additions to the site.

July 2004

A new competition to win a Sausage Making Kit sausagemaking.org.
Homepage updated and many new events were added during June, also the farmers' markets pages were updated too (but please if you spot an error or know of one that is not listed - let me know?)
The site is regularly reviewed and updated - though some of the items changed are subtle!

December - June

Various changes around the site - but you'll have to search around to find them!

November 2003

During the month of October, all of the farmers' markets and suppliers were contacted by email, many replies were received but sadly many - didn't bother!
Many pages were updated with corrections, to tried to provide the most up to date information.

October 2003

The Foody has been completely updated and re-designed, the style of the website has been changed, for two reasons, firstly, so that it looks a little fresher but more importantly, to make it quicker to load.

Hundreds of new recipes have been added, many of them are regional dishes from the areas covered.
The Regional section has been completely re-designed and researched to ensure that the information contained there is as up-to-date as possible.
As far as can be determined all of the information in the Farmers' Market section is correct, but if you know different please do send an email, so the details can be amended.
The Regional Food Suppliers section has changed focus, so that it now gives details farm shops and other regional food retailers that you can visit to buy food locally.
The Mail Order section now allows you choose the type of food you want to purchase and have delivered to your door.

The Links page has also changed, with many new websites for you to visit should you wish.
The News page now covers world-wide food news and has links to industry related articles.
There is also a new email address too, this has been added to each of the pages, but please do read the Feedback page before getting into contact.
The website will now be up-dated on a regular basis, with new content being added as available.
