Scottish Het Pint

2˝lt (4 pints) Mild Ale
285ml (˝ pint) Scotch Whisky
110g (4oz) Sugar
3 Eggs, well beaten
Grated Nutmeg

Place the mild ale into a large saucepan.
Heat gently, do not allow to boil.
Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
Add nutmeg to taste.
Gradually add the eggs, stirring constantly to avoid curdling.
Add the whisky.
Pour into warmed tankards.
Transfer the liquid back and forth between the tankards until the liquid is clear and sparkling.
